GNFA Woes Get International Attention
GNFA’s problems are being aired online at www.sikhe.com, Global Sikh Daily News Online. The first article appeared on Sunday, April 28, “In the Name of Nanak,” about the sit-in protest of the dismissal of Bhai Jugmohan Singh and Jathhaa. The posting resulted in a flurry of responses from the global Sikh community. Of special importance were the articles from Sikhe’s I. J. Singh, GNFA opposition’s Tejbir Singh Phool, and GNFA management’s Ajit Singh Dhaliwal.
Most of the responses from the Sikh community focused on the grave problems in the Gurdwaras. Some responded in consideration to Bhai Jugmohan Singh’s situation. Ajit Singh Dhaliwal’s article drew considerable attention and some support for his views. His article also prompted a rebuttal from a group of opposition women who documented inaccuracies in his facts and provided eyewitness accounts to shed doubt on Mr. Dhaliwal’s version of the events at GNFA.
Postings were made by people from the U. S. and abroad. Most of the letters showed concern and some provided ideas on solving the problem.
Some of the local youth have been actively discussing the GNFA issues on the internet.
