Seeing Is...

As we drove through the Lincoln Tunnel into Manhattan, I saw it for the first time - the New York City skyline without the Twin Towers. An urgency came over me. I just could not leave without visiting ground zero.

People handle tragedy in different ways. Many who live in New York and saw the events of 9/11 unfold cannot bare to go near there. And that is true of people outside of New Yok too.

But I needed to go see it for my self. I don't know why, but I suppose it is a way of putting things into perspective - making it all real. Seeing is ... believing, feeling, coping, ...whatever. I saw it.

We drove around at first trying to find it, then we saw the construction. And the words just blurted out "Oh my God - Vaheguru." It was so empty. I could see clear across to the buildings on the other side, several blocks away. I looked up and around and saw nothing.

Seeing filled some sort of a void, but it still did not answer the question - why?
