LETTER March 14, 2003 With great respect to the altruistic Sikh individuals, I have to say that in matters doctrinal, the least initiated have the greatest say. You must realize the international political situation and the dichotomy of reality. "If you are not with us then your are against us" is the American stand. War is imminent regardless of the UNO, the Security Council, France, Russia, China and even England. The Defense Secretary Rumsfeld has even sidelined Tony Blair. In America, French Fries have been renamed Freedom Fries, the French Wine is poured down the drain, the Americans are not coming to the Paris Air Show. This country is Right Wing Capitalist while Europe is Left Wing Socialist. America is the Super Power, you must realize, and people here have nightmares. Bush took an oath to protect the people of America. Has this Anti-War demonstration been sanctioned by the Sikh Panth, the Council of Khalistan, The Sikh Secretariat, the SGPC or the Akal Takhat? Or is this some group of rag tag individuals who have to get a life. Let us get the priorities right. Any Sikh seen in the demostration will have to explain their actions to the Sikh Panth. Hope good common sense will prevail in the next few weeks.
