As sad and distasteful as this story was for me to cover, I must say I came away from it feeling the utmost of respect for Sikhs. Ironically, the story may have given Sikhs more positive publicity that any mission director could have ever dreamed or dreaded. In the process, thousands upon thousands of people have been educated about the virtues of Sikhism. I've heard from people all over the U.S. and even Canada who read the story online.

I was honored to learn so much about such a noble, compassionate people.
