E T T E R Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib Date: December 12, 2002 No. A13/02/1995 Waaheguru Jee Kaa Khalsa, Waaheguru Jee Kee Fateh! In the ten volumes of your publications under the titles, "Bipran Kee Reet Toan Sach Daa Maarag", and other writings, you have expressed several viewpoints regarding the Khanday Baatay Daa Amrit bestowed by the Dasmays Pita on the Guru Khalsa Panth that has severely damaged the sentiments, the conviction, devotion and faith of the Khalsa Panth. In this context, I am putting below some of the references. On this hurtful situation, faithful Sikh Sangats have expressed their deep concern and resentment to Akaal Takhat Sahib through numerous letters and other communications. Keeping in view the devotion of the Sikh Sangats for the love of our Gurus, you are hereby summoned to present yourself before Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib on February 10, 2003 to explain your position. References: 2. Taking of the Khanday Baatay Daa Amrit has become such
an axis of Sikh way of life so much so that the young Sikh children have
dared to have their heads shaved and indulge in tobacco and other intoxicants.
(Page 65, Chapter 6) 3. The Amrit of Khandaa Baataa has confirmed the path
of utter ignorance of the Gurmat philosophy and as a result the apostasy
has spread all around. The misconception (tokenism) of adorning our bodies
as Singhs (after getting baptized) has completely eclipsed the need for
our mental make-up to be attuned to real Sikhism. 4. Any Baanee can not be designated as Gurbaanee under
any circumstances. (Page 211, Chapter 5) 5. False appreciation for any material or person more
than the reality, generally, becomes a source of embarrassment. It befits
saints and noble souls and unexplainable' scholar like you to spread
the word of "truth" rather than dumping false and superfluous
praise for Khanday Daa Amrit. 6. A large number of Sikh soldiers in army units during the British rule and since then who have always earned names for valor and bravery, had trimmed beards. A baptized Sikh in the Indian army wearing all the five K's is a rare phenomenon. Could you please tell me as to how many army soldiers/officers who were bestowed with "Param Vir Chakkar", the highest award for bravery, were baptized Sikhs?
