Singh Sabha Gurdwara: Ground Breaking Ceremony

At
this year’s Vaisakhi celebration, April 13, 2003, Singh Sabha Gurudwara
of Fairfax, VA, held a special event to initiate the construction of their
plans for a new Gurudwara in the Washington, DC area.
At the conclusion of the Vaisakhi service, the sangat
was invited to break the soil where the new Gurudwara will be built by
shoveling into the ground.
This
eight-minute film summarizes the events of the Ground Breaking Ceremony.
It captures the mood of the sangat on that auspicious day, and also shows
a correlation of Sikh history to our modern times.
